New Passport Card. US citizens are allowed to have a Passport Card and/or a US Passport. The Passport Card is only valid for land and sea travel to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. It is intended for frequent border crossers as a convenience. The Passport Card is an acceptable document for Form I-9 purposes.

Mandatory use of E-VERIFY for Federal Contractors. The comment period for proposed rules closed on August 11, 2008. A Final Rule or Interim Rule has not yet been published.
